Hello, and welcome to my new blog - a place for random (and, hopefully, sometimes inspired) thoughts and feelings about classic and contemporary cinema, and those individuals who have made it, and my own place on the outskirts of it.
I'll be posting my favourite and least favourite movies from 2009 in due course, to give a flavour of where I'm coming from, as well as the full, uncut, pre-subbed versions of my weekly reviews from The Sunday Telegraph and The Scotsman - because, I was told, you should always show your working.
